In March 2020, IndoorAtlas and Samsung SDS joined forces to provide indoor location-based services for the global exhibition market. The objective of the collaboration is to provide innovative location-aware applications and services for global trade shows and to drive the digital transformation of the exhibition industry.
The first solution together with Samsung SDS was delivered to Koelnmesse whose vision is to bring people together both online and offline. Koelnmesse is developing digital services aimed at boosting their customers’ trade fair success and bringing together people on both the supply and demand sides. Koelnmesse is the third largest trade fair venue in Germany and into the top ten worldwide. Koelnmesse arranges 80+ trade fairs, exhibitions, guest events, and special events every year with 3 million visitors from more than 200 countries.
Together with Samsung SDS we deployed an indoor location infrastructure at Koelnmesse premises to provide location-aware trade show services for Koelnmesse’s customers. Digitalisation of trade show processes helps Koelnmesse team to focus what they are all about – organising trade fairs – and to further improve customer experience through the location-aware fair show application.
